Michael Fraud Recovery Advocates LLC is the practice through which Christopher Michael helps victims of fraud. We are responsible for personal information collected through this website and at our office at 600 Congress Avenue, Suite 1400, Austin, TX 78701.

We collect only what we need to answer you and work on your case:

• Case review requests: your name, email address, phone number, how you paid, the amount and date of the loss, and your message.
• Scam alert sign-ups: your email address and the date you subscribed.
• Case files: statements, receipts, screenshots, wallet addresses and transaction IDs you choose to share, plus our engagement letter.
• Usage data: pages visited, device type, approximate location (city level) and referring site, collected through Google Tag Manager and analytics tools when enabled.
• We never ask for, and you should never send, passwords, private keys, seed phrases or full card numbers.

We use personal information to:

• Reply to review requests and work on cases you engage us for.
• Prepare disputes, reports and tracing reports on your behalf.
• Send the scam alerts you asked for. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
• Meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
• Understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We share it only with:

• Banks, card issuers, exchanges and agencies you ask us to contact on your behalf.
• An attorney you choose, when you ask us to refer your case.
• Resend, which delivers our emails, and Google, which provides analytics when enabled.
• Corechain Solution, only when you leave a review or complaint through them, or during their audit of our case files.
• Law enforcement, when the law requires it.

Messages that do not lead to an engagement are deleted after 12 months. Case files are kept for five years after a case closes, in case a recovery happens later. Scam alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Depending on where you live, you can:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
• Ask us to correct or delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from scam alerts.
• Appeal a decision we make about your request.
• Not be treated differently for using these rights.

Case files are stored in encrypted, access-controlled storage with two-factor authentication. Only the people working on your case can see them.
